CVs

& cover letters

We provide support with enhancing CVs and cover letters to help students maximise their potential when competing for opportunities.

We start by providing our latest guides and industry-specific templates packed with tips and suggestions.

We can also review documents, providing feedback and suggestions to help make improvements. We can do this face-to-face or by phone / Skype or email. Whichever you prefer.

Tips for your ‘Education’ section:

  • Many students and graduates prefer to put their Education section before their Work Experience section as it's often more relevant.

  • Start with your current /most recent education.

  • Perhaps include titles of course modules relevant to your job goal, or include links to project work, your online-portfolio, or links to your reflective blog if you completed a work placement.

  • It is not necessary to give a full breakdown of all your GCSEs, as they are probably not all relevant. Perhaps just give a range, e.g. '9 x GCSE grade A - C including Maths and English'.
